In the library Eve didn’t go to bed immediately. Holding the candle high she looked for something that had caught her eye earlier. She quickly found it. Sticking out from the other books was a small book called Cracking Codes.
Now with the two books and the notebook and pencil she climbed into bed. In the light of her candle, Eve flicked through the codebook, eventually finding what she was looking for, a code that looked like what was written on the frames in the hive.
A Book Cipher, she read, consists of a series of three numbers separated by periods. These number represent a page number of a book, a line number on that page, and a word number on that line. To solve this cipher, you must have the correct book.
